Broadway on Broadway Concert is a free outdoor concert featuring musical numbers and appearances from almost every play and musical on Broadway, as well as sneak peeks at several upcoming shows opening in the new theatre season.
Broadway on Broadway Concert 2007
Pop star-turned-Broadway-star Lance Bass (Hairspray's Corny Collins) will host the 16th annual Broadway on Broadway concert on September 16 at 11:30 AM. The annual free outdoor concert brings together stars and performances from current and upcoming Broadway productions to Times Square to celebrate the beginning of the season.
Best known as a member of the phenomenally successful pop group *NSYNC, Bass will host a show featuring appearances by stars from Avenue Q, Chicago, A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, Grease, Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, Les Misérables, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Spamalot, The Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Spring Awakening, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Wicked, Hairspray and more. More than 50,000 attendees are expected.
