Visit Scotland hosts this free public event in Vanderbilt Hall making Grand Central the center of a city-wide celebration of everything Scottish. Visitors will be welcomed into the Scottish Village where they can experience all the wonderful aspects of modern and traditional Scottish life.

2007 New York International Auto Show

The Annual Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival
Fifth Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Unlike most New York City Parades, the Easter Parade is a far less organized event. From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. the area along Fifth Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets is closed to vehicular traffic, and folks wander the street admiring various Easter Bonnets and Easter outfits.

The lavish cherry trees and wide range of activities–including the ancient floral art Ikebana and demonstrations of tea ceremonies and bonsai tree pruning–entice visitors citywide. Those who linger will witness some Shikendo swordsmanship, a concert of imperial court music and even some contemporary Japanese mime.
