Museum Mile Festival 2010
FREE Admission to all Museums on the Museum Mile: One day a year, for the past 32 years, nine of the country's finest museums, all ones that call Fifth Avenue home, collectively open their doors from 6pm - 9pm for free to New Yorkers and visitors for a mile-long block party and visual art celebration.

Children's Day at South Street Seaport 2010
Children's Day at South Street Seaport 2010: Come to South Street Seaport for a fun-filled family event and be part of the Children's Day celebrations. This day long event is hosted by Gordon from Sesame street this year. Many of your kids' favorite characters like Curoius George, Clifford the Big red Dog, Berenstein Bears etc will be on hand for meet and greet. Free give-aways, stage performances, a spectacular fireworks display and a concert by "The Apples in Stereo" are all part of the festivities.

Coney Island Mermaid Parade 2010
Coney Island Mermaid Parade 2010: A completely original creation of Coney Island USA, the Mermaid Parade is the nation's largest art parade and one of New York City's greatest summer events. The Parade is characterized by participants dressed in hand-made costumes as Mermaids, Neptunes and various sea creatures. Each year, a different celebrity King Neptune and Queen Mermaid rule over the proceedings, and have included Queen Latifah, David Byrne, Ron Kuby, Curtis Sliwa etc in the past.

Taste of Times Square 2010 One of New York City's most popular annual outdoor food festivals, Taste of Times Square, presented by the Times Square Alliance, is your chance to sample "tastes" of delicious signature dishes from Times Square's best restaurants, enjoy classic New York street performers, catch top-notch local entertainment on three stages, and show off your hottest dance moves all evening with help from a swing band and free dancing lessons from Swing46.
