Harlem Meer Performance Festival 2008
The Harlem Meer Performance Festival returns to the lakefront plaza at the Charles A Dana Discovery Center in Central Park for another season of sumptuous Sunday music performances.
Adults and children of all ages can enjoy modern dance and the sounds of blues, jazz, Latin and gospel music during the waterfront performances, which take place every Sunday afternoon (except 10 June) throughout the summer, between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Performances highlight the rich culture and history of the communities surrounding Central Park and are all free. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and picnics so they can relax and enjoy the day.
