Schedule:
The skaters are allowed into the rink in 90 minute slots throughout the day starting from 8:30-10am, 10:30am-noon, 12:30-2pm, 2:30-4pm, 4:30-6pm, 6:30-8pm, 8:30-10pm and 10:30pm-midnight. The ice skating rink is open daily.
Tips from Newyork-Visit:
- There are always long lines to skate in the Rockefeller Center Skating Rink. Be prepared to wait out in the cold for at least one hour if you come during the peak days which are around Christmas and New Year.
- The Rockefeller Center Ice Skating Rink is open through April. After the holiday season is over, the prices are cheaper and the crowds are less.
- Try to arrive about an hour before each time slot starts since if you enter the ice skating rink at the beginning of the slot, you will get to maximize your skating time. For eg., if you enter the skating rink at 11 am during the 10:30 to noon time slot, you will only be getting 60 minutes of skating. This is because all skaters will have to leave the rink at the end of each session.
- Ice skating classes are available all day for $50 per person for 30 minutes.
- You do not need to know how to ice skate to enter the rink. But be careful as the rink is crowded and people of all skill levels are skating together. So tighten your ice skates and have fun !!
