Voted by New York City parents as the city’s “best kid fest”, Children’s Day at South Street Seaport and Target Fireworks returns for its 16th anniversary on Saturday, June 13, 2009.
Tens of thousands of New Yorkers flock to the annual, day-long event for its wide array of free family-oriented entertainment. The 2009 annual Children's Day celebration will be hosted by Gordon from “Sesame Street.” The rest of the lineup includes Rebecca Frezza and Big Truck, the Puppetry Arts Theater, the New York Philharmonic, fireworks sponsored by Target, plus countless other fun-filled activities throughout the South Street Seaport area in lower Manhattan.

The New Yankee Stadium
New Yankee Stadium is the working title for a new stadium for the New York Yankees, currently under construction. It will open in 2009, replacing the third-oldest stadium in the Major Leagues.
