Based on the award-winning book Celluloid Skyline, this exhibit will feature many of the original long lost but now found and restored original backdrops from movies filmed in New York City over the past seven decades. Accompanying this event will be an all new Grand Central Tour that will feature locations and sites of famous New York movies filmed in Grand Central.

10th brooklyn international film festival

The 10th Brooklyn International Film Festival’s main competitive event will be held from June 1-10, 2007 at the Cobble Hill Cinema. Two screening rooms will operate side-by-side featuring 36 programs each. Sidebar programs will run at multiple venues throughout Brooklyn.

One of the preeminent sculptors of our era, Richard Serra (American, b. 1939) has long been acclaimed for his challenging and innovative work, which emphasizes materiality and an engagement between the viewer, the site, and the work. In the early 1960s, Serra and the Minimalist artists of his generation turned to unconventional, industrial materials and began to accentuate the physical properties of their art.

HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival

This series of free, outdoor, classic movie screenings is on Monday nights throughout the summer in Bryant Park, Manhattan and is a hugely popular event on the New York calendar. In the rare event that it rains, films are screened at sunset the following night.
