Gallery Tour: Kermit Berg

Artist Kermit Berg will lead a tour of his photography exhibition Urban Transfers and discuss the work. Using digital techniques, Berg makes collages of his images and abstracts the urban milieu, taking us on a seamless global transit ride.

The New York Road Runners (NYRR), the organization behind the world’s largest marathon, leading advocate of American long distance running, and organizer of a year-round calendar of races in Central Park, will host the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Men’s Marathon during the New York City Marathon weekend of November 2, 2007.

The New York City Marathon is an annual marathon foot-race run over a 42,195 m (26.2 mile) course through all five boroughs of New York City. It is the largest marathon race in the world, and with 37,866 finishers in 2006, was also the largest marathon race ever run. Along with the Boston Marathon and Chicago Marathon, it is among the pre-eminent long-distance annual running events in the United States.
