The New York City Horror Film Festival was established by Michael J. Hein in 2001. It takes place each year in New York City for a week in October and speciales in the horror film genre.
The New York City Horror Film Festival will be held at the Cantor Film Center, located at 36 East 8th Street,
between University and Greene. The Opening Night Party on Wednesday, October 24th will be held at
Don Hills (511 Greenwich Street).
Awards
Awards are presented in categories such as best film, best short, best special effects and best actor. Two screens at this new, larger venue run concurrently, with an in-house bar and lounge for recovering your wits between movies
