The big German-American event. The annual parade is named after General Frederick Wilhem von Steuben, a Prussian army officer who volunteered his services to General George Washington during the Revolutionary War.

Fifth Avenue from 44th to 79th Streets, then east to Third Avenue.
Dignitaries, Folkloric bands in traditional costumes, Italian American Associations, Floats, Children, Beauty Queens in Convertibles Waving to You and all with that charming Italian emphasis. More than 500 international food, art, craft, antique and merchandise exhibitors create a midway along lower Broadway. The entertainment is multi-ethnic.

The Village Halloween Parade
October 31
The parade begins 6th avenue and Houston street and proceeds north to 14th or 23rd Street. The signature costumes are the Giant Puppets.

MACY’S Thanksgiving Day Parade

The parade 2.5 mile route begins on Central Park West (CPW) at 77th street and travels downtown to 59th street at Columbus Circle then down Broadway to Macy’s.
Veteran’s Day Parade
2nd Thursday in November
Up Fifth Ave. in Manhattan from 42nd St. to 79th St
The Nations Parade is intended to be the largest Veterans Day parade in the country, states parade coordinator Pat Gualtieri. We’re eager to have veterans groups from around the world, as well as marching bands, floats, military vehicles and active duty troops all take part in this commemoration.
