The traditional parade dates back to the civil war period and features a whole host of colourful costumes and extravagant Easter bonnets. The festivities begin at 10am on Fifth Ave at 49th St, near the Rockefeller Center and St Patrick's Church and ends around 57th St. Anyone can join in the annual march but with viewing platforms situated next to St Patrick's, it is just as much fun to stand by and watch the outrageous outfits on display.
