The New York Open at the Athletic Club is the top judo tournament in the US and features participants from over 30 countries, including Olympians and world champions.
A sizable cash prize is awarded to each of the seven gold-medallists who display the most spectacular throws, pins and grappling techniques in this fast-moving one-on-one combat. Who would guess that the word Judo translates as the “gentle way”?
The 2009 New York Open will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009. This year, for the first time, there will be an exhibition Women’s Team Competition between the USA and a visiting country. This will for sure make this day even more exciting bringing you what is the best and toughest tournament in the country.

$70.00 per person if completed application and payment are received before February 9, 2009. $100.00 if received afterwards. There will be NO REFUNDS. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
