Be part of America's largest architecture and design event in the city at the annual Open House New York.
Visitors can put together their own adventure for the weekend and discover new neighbourhoods and explore unknown buildings.
From boardrooms to bedrooms, crypts to clubs, factories to firehouses, lighthouses to lookouts, monuments to mansions, skyscrapers to substations and many more, this is a fantastic opportunity to get an insight into spaces or buildings that are usually closed to the public.

America's largest architect and design event, opens doors throughout New York City each October.



OHNY Weekend Programs

Architecturemoves: Experience concerts and dance performances set agains and inspired by the dramatic architecture, sculpture and landscape on New York City.

OHNY Kids!: Join in workshops, projects and tours designed especially for kids and families! Grab an OHNY Kids Activity Guide at OHNY info centers.

OHNY Tours: Join expert tour guides and historians and explore New York's most interesting places and spaces.

Opendialogues: Speak with architects, designers, planners and scholars onsite about the thoughts, challenges and inspirations that shape the built-environment.

Sustainablenewyork: Enjoy talks and tours focusing on sustainable methods and innovations.

Focus on architecture photography competition: Grab your camera and focus on your favorite sites during the weekend. Submit your digital images online in four categories: interiors, exteriors, details, people.

FREE. Entry is first come, first serve, unless advance registration is required - see advance registration notice in the guide.

Expect lines at many popular sites. If you prefer not to wait in long lines, get an OHNY Passport for $150 that allows you and a guest front-of-the-line access at all sites and programs that do not require advance reservations. The passports are valid for both Saturday and Sunday.
