A free yoga-fest in the heart of Times Square. Both experienced and beginning Yoga enthusiasts find tranquility and transcendence in the midst of the urban energy of the world's most commercial and frenetic place.
Where: In Times Square, at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue between 43rd and 44th Streets
Admission: FREE
When: The yoga-fest will be held in 4 sessions - at 8 am, 10:30 am, 1 pm and 3:30 pm.

Summer Solstice in Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island City, New York

Bring your friends and family to Socrates Sculpture Park's 8th annual Solstice event to welcome the summer and celebrate the longest day of the year! Be creative in solstice artmaking workshops with artists from Materials for the Arts, The Noguchi Museum, The Queens Museum of Art and Socrates Sculpture Park; have fun with Free Style Arts Association; get your face painted by Agostino Arts; enjoy a kayak ride with Long Island City Community Boathouse; participate in a special solstice ritual performed by Urban Shaman Mama Donna; sample foods from local restaurants at the 1st annual Taste of Astoria; have a picnic and enjoy the view as the sun sets over the Manhattan skyline!

BY SUBWAY:
Monday through Friday take the N or W train to the Broadway stop in Queens and walk eight blocks west on Broadway (toward the East River) to the intersection of Vernon Boulevard. On Saturday and Sunday, take the N train to the Broadway stop.
