Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning 2007

The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is a three-day festival at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ that features the most popular and sought after balloons in the country year after year. Attendence is expected to be around 175,000 people over 3 days. Whether you are 6 or 60, you will be captivated by the magic of hot air balloons.
Besides the balloons, there are other attractions like the Quick Chek sub eating championship, all sorts of variety acts and of course, daily musical performances. Last year's festival featured performances by Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, School of Rock and Virgin Vinyl.
Due to the festival's proximity to NYC, it is the perfect venue to serve as a back drop for a performance in front of talent agents, agencies, etc. International coverage of event makes it a perfect resume builder. Although submissions are being accepted, please note that with such few performance slots, your chances of making the cut are slim. Very slim. Genres accepted include: Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Alternative, Oldies, and kids music.

Tribute in Light

The ethereal Tribute in Light memorial was designed to help lessen the aching loss felt across the country since 9/11. It is a profound symbol of strength, hope and resiliency.

The New Yankee Stadium

New Yankee Stadium is the working title for a new stadium for the New York Yankees, currently under construction. It will open in 2009, replacing the third-oldest stadium in the Major Leagues.

The Bronx

In popular culture 'The Bronx' has often symbolized violence, decay, and urban ruin. In fact, there are guidebooks that say you must never go to the Bronx! Sheer ignorance, that is all we have to say!
