September 15 - 16, 2007
Queens County Fair at Queens Farm Museum is a traditional American county fair with Blue Ribbon competitions in livestock, produce, home crafts, arts and crafts.
The fair features early-American craft demonstrations, pie-eating and corn-husking contests, while those looking for something more bizarre can try their hand at pig racing, making scarecrows and hayriding. Children are guaranteed to enjoy the petting zoo, magic shows and the carnival rides and for those who want to get down there is always plenty of country and western dancing to a selection of Irish and German bands.
With plenty of food to be had too, this is an all-day family experience and an all-American one at that. Bring your sun hat.
