The annual Tribeca Film Festival brings together local, national and international talent to provide screenings, workshops and special events all over lower Manhattan.
There are categories for feature-length films, shorts, documentaries and directorial-debut features. A jury presents an Emerging Film Maker Award and an award for best short film.
For those who want to delve that bit deeper, there is a full programme of panel discussions and seminars. A number of celebrities, directors and producers discuss the issues facing Hollywood's independent film, media and arts communities.
