Many tourists visit hoping for a brief street-side encounter with their favorite celeb, but this may not be the most effective way of touching the hem of stardom. Several of the most popular shows are taped at NBC Studios, including "Saturday Night Live," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." The popular "Today" show with hosts Katie Couric and Matt Lauer, broadcasts live weekdays from 7am to 9am from its glass-walled studio on the corner of 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza. Directions: 45 Rockefeller Plaza is located between East 49th and East 50th Streets, just west of Fifth Avenue. You may also enter the building at 630 Fifth Avenue, between East 49th and East 50th Streets. How to get there: By subway, take the 6 train to 50th Street, exit at the rear of the station and walk 3 blocks west to Fifth Avenue.
