A party with a difference, the four-mile Midnight Run in Central Park is a New Year's Eve event for fitness fanatics. Live DJs and dancing, a costume parade and fireworks are all part of the celebration.
Don a costume and join the parade, which begins in front of the Central Park Bandshell just south of the 72nd St Transverse. The closest entrance is at Fifth Avenue with 72nd Street.
If you want to start the New Year on a natural high, this could be the party for you. It could also be the time to make a New Year's resolution.

Start on Central Park's East Drive (near 68th Street) and head north to the 102nd Street Transverse. Turn left / west across the transverse and the left / south on the West Drive. Continue to the finish line on the West Drive (near 68th Street).
